I am not really sure where the week ended and the weekend begun this past week. I flew home to San Diego on Tuesday night, got up every morning bright and early to log into work by 8:30 central time. Would work until 5:00 central time (3pm local time), then go run a bunch of wedding errands. Friday was the busiest day - meeting with our coordinator and florist at the venue where the ceremony and reception will take place, getting my hair and makeup trial done, trying on my dress and getting it fitted, then shopping for mother-of-the-bride dresses until the mall closed. Saturday, some family friends threw me a beautiful wedding shower. It was so much fun!
But, needless to say, I am exhausted! I slept in until I had to start working, at 9am. I just rolled out of bed and logged onto the computer. Poured myself some extra strong coffee, too.
1. I hit up Zara in search for a blazer I have been eying for a while. I ended up with 2 floral dresses, 1 of which I wore to the shower.
2. I found my wedding shoes! 60% off at Bloomys!
3. Cake tasting #1. Who knew there is such a thing as too much cake!? I was feeling all that sugar afterwards, but it was fun!
4. A graduation ceremony was being held at our ceremony site, but it gave us a good idea of what the set up will be on our big day. I am so in love with the view of Downtown in the background!
5. Hair and makeup trial was amazing! I loved both and the hair and eyelashes stayed put all day until I took them out 9 hours later! A pretty good test for the actual day.
6. I got to try on my dress again, and it fit like a glove! I may need to lose 2 lbs, which I am pretty sure the stress the week of the wedding will take care of! I also tried on a birdcage veil, which got some mixed reviews on Instagram.
7. Cake tasting #2. The presentation wasn't as nice, but the cake was amazing!!
8. This is a good look for me, no? Definitely a bridal shower must is the toilet paper wedding dress game!
9. After a long week, and a long flight, it was so nice to get home!
How was your weekend?
